My knowledge of philosophy is gained primarily through proxy, which while somewhat shameful I deem a nessecity as it is a Hurculean effort to read philosophy without first familiarizing yourself with the general ideas and doctrines of the field and of individual philosophers. I'd say I've read a sum total of 150 pages of philosophy myself among all the philosophers I'm interested in, and what I have read directly seems to congrue fairly well with what I have recieved through these proxies which I shall now list. Standford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (SEP); General The Lectures of Michael Sugrue; General Essentialsalts; Nietzsche and Assosciated A rule of thumb when looking to learn philosophy by proxy is to immediately filter out any video which is shorter than 30 minutes - or the equivalent in another medium. Philosophies are in general the product of a lifetime of intense thought; they are elaborate systems of concepts and logic whose aims are often highly holistic relative to other fields. Thus, even in summation it takes quite a lot of time to present any given philosophy even at a rudimentary level. Avoid channels like "The School of Life" like the plague - their interpretations are obviously done in haste and their presentations are reductive for the sake of continually pumping out 4-8 minute long videos. You'd be better off reading Wikipedia.
